Annie had her 3rd first day of kindergarten today. Hopefully this will also be her LAST first day of kindergarten!! If you are confused you can go back and read from August 2010. Fun times.
This time around was the most successful. Thank goodness!! A friend of hers is actually in her class and that always helps! Her teacher is probably in her 40’s which I was happy about. I’m sure she’s dealt with almost every Kindergarten issue in her career and won’t be learning how to teach with my kid!
Annie chose this outfit. We spent all day shopping on Saturday. She got the dress at Crazy 8 and was DYING to get “twinkle toe” shoes. I think they may be the most gaudy thing that has happened to girls’ shoes since high tops, but they are “the thing”. And let me add that shopping all day in 107 degree heat is pure torture. Every time we get in the car it’s 120 degrees. We drive around for 15 minutes trying to cool off (unsuccessfully). Then we’re at our destination. It starts all over every time. I was hot all afternoon.
Amelia and Evie haven’t seemed to have a hard time adjusting to Annie being at school. Amelia has a sing-a-long video from the library complete with Dalmatians in every scene. So Amelia is happy. Evie found other things to occupy her time…
It’s all my fault, actually. I was on the phone. And ironing. And I knew she was in my makeup. But I wanted to talk and iron. This is the result. I told her that any girl that still pooped in her diaper and used a paci has no business wearing mascara. Don’t know if that conversation was very effective.
Hoping my sweet girl has had a good day today! I’m sure she will be WORN out tonight!
